Sabja seeds are small, black seeds derived from the sweet basil plant, often confused with chia seeds but different in origin and properties. When soaked in water, they swell and develop a translucent coating, resembling tapioca pearls.
Popular in Ayurveda and traditional drinks like falooda, sabja vithai is cooling and loaded with essential nutrients like fiber, iron, calcium, and antioxidants.
